POV: Marcos Wallings
I was sitting in class lining up my cars. I got a sense that there were people in trouble, sort of like what Dad gets but not quite. Mom gets upset because he helps people sometimes. I usually end up pushing one of them out the door when they do. The other ends up talking me into letting the other back in. Anyways, the teachers never miss me as long as I make it back before lunch, nap time, or time to go. They're kinda funny that way. They think we're stupid so they never look for me.
Anyways, this time it was a busload in Columbia being chased by a bunch of guys with guns or something. Things that make a loud bang and hurt bad. I don't like bangs. So; it was time to go. I took some chalk and drew on the floor. Learned it from watching Daddy. It's weird. You can just disappear into the drawing and go wherever you want to go. Took a bit of practice; but, when I want to do something I do it. Sometimes only it. I practice real good. It's amazing how when it's done right the picture just lights up.
Well... anyways I got on the bus; which is no easy task to hit a moving target. the yelling hurt bad but I maintained as Daddy calls it; and it did slowly stop when they noticed I showed up. I drew a picture and motioned people over it.
Now; I don't know what it is about adults; but they were confused for some reason. I literally had to shove someone over it! We're hearing rat-tat-tat and these crazy adults act as if they don't want to leave! We're hearing rat-tat-tats and these crazy adults act as if they want to stay! What gives! I'm also proud of myself. I managed to stay somewhat calm even though the screams and bangs were trying to make me nuts.
Well, soon they slowly approached. I had to grab the driver though and jump through with him. When I jumped through we almost got hit by a hovercraft.
The confusion on the adults face was priceless. Not to hard to figure out. You draw a picture, focus, and viola! i stood tall and waved my finger at them. They have to learn to be more careful! I wanted to take off to the Ferris wheel, but it was almost recess time so I had to go. When I got back the adults were still talking talking about how bad their husbands were to them. Stupid adults.

POV: Jace Wallings
I never quite get used to the hustle and bustle. I'm here though. Time to interrogate a special interest that I kinda keep out of the radar. He comes in useful on occasion, even if he's a pain the ass. At least he's my pain in the ass.
See; you're supposed to have an Anglasia I.D. card to cross over and to buy the special paint required to cross over. That way it is known that you have the skill and authorization to cross back and forth. There are a couple of vendors that, for the right price, will forgo that formality. He is one of the major ones.
Anyway, we approach his shop. Me and two of my right hand men. One at my left and the other at the right, complete with scannable FBI identification.
"FBI! Everyone but employees, out! Now!" As I entered waving my fake FBI credentials, everyone filed out. Everyone but one, who appeared to be frozen in place. "Was I unclear?! I said get out! Now!" She ran out the door quick.
"Jace, you always were a fuckin' asshole!" Mark, the Cuban store owner, flatly said as we approached the counter.
"I'm the asshole? Have you kept up with current events lately?"
"Jace, I've cleaned up my act."
"By selling to five year olds? Mark, that's low. Even for you."
At that I saw a shocked look on his face. A genuine shock, which admittedly half way even surprised me. I knew he was holding something back though. He always does.
"You know who this is though."
"I swear Jace, I found out just now! It's news to me to Jace! I swear!"
Right around that time I took out a hammer. I was gonna find out what I needed to know. Right around that time a man I've known all my life by the name of Sangha Barali just strolled through the door. Old African man that walks with a cane.
"Mr. Wallings, always jumping to hostility. We are at the eve of a new age and your natural response is to do harm?"
We all turned around. Th old man may look like a cripple; but, even I know better than to challenge him. If there is any evidence of looks being deceiving, he is definitely it.
"Mr. Barali, with all due respects, this is a military matter."
"I have lived many many more years than you Little Cougar", Little Cougar is a name he's had for me since childhood, "I believe that I am intelligent enough to be able to tell a military matter from a civil one. Give me the hammer little one." We paused for a bit. Everyone else took a few steps back. "Do you honestly intend to challenge the one who defeated whole teams of assassins to defend you? Do you honestly believe that you can defeat me Little Cougar? I will tell you once more and once more only Little One. Give me the hammer."
Slowly I handed him the hammer. An uncomfortable unease came over me; but then again I was pretty much disarming myself. "Mr. Barali, do you know what's going on?
"Yes I do Little Cougar. However, there would be no fun in telling you now, now would there Little One." We all watched as a mischievous smile traced across his face.
I knew we would get no further in this questioning, and I knew better than to challenge the old man. About that time, a call came of our communicators:
"Dispatch to field team. 19 more crossed over from Columbia. Only two with the gift."
"Just got the call men. Guess we have more to question. 19 in Columbia"
"Yes sir" the other two said in unison.
And at that, we left just as quickly and sudden as we came.

POV: Sangha Barali
Young Jace. Always ready to fight, even when unnecessary. He was not always this way. Time leaves no one unchanged. After all; I was in his position 384 years ago. But alas; it is what it is. When he is around children, I see a glimmer of who he used to be. I will admit; at times I do miss the young one I used to look after; but, as I said before. Time leaves no one unchanged-- even the Little Cougar.
"Barali, I swear! I don't know what Jace is talkin' about! He goin' loony tunes or somethin'?"
"Everything will be known in due time Mark. But until then, the government is very on edge. It would be very beneficial for you to lay low. At least for a short time."
"For what? Barali, you know I've gone legit. I...."
"Who exactly do you think you fool young Mark? I have lived many more years than you. You have a good heart. You are more the chaotic balance. I simply ask you to lay low."
"Yes sir."
"Barali, Has Jace finally gone nuts?"
"No young Mark. Except for the accusation against you, he is very much accurate. And it's involving normals."
"Wait.... Normals? Anybody else but you I would say is loony tunes. Are you sure? How do they get back?"
"They do not. At least not as of yet. They are more rescues than kidnappings; but, as of right now they say where they are out.."
"Jesus Mary Mother of Christ! Do you know who?"
"Now Mark, you know better than to ask me such questions."
"And with that I was off. I had a young child to visit. I went to a wall and did the neccessary painting. Before you know it, I crossed over into a school in Enis, TX. Sitting on a bench I awaited a young child to go to recess. It did not make long for young Marcos to notice me. Young child waving his arms with a beaming smile.

"Hello young Marcos. How are you? The young child still beamed at me with a smile that brightens up any room he enters. Then he offered up his pre chewed gum in which I aced as if I was chewing. Being Houdini friend had and still has it's benefits-- especially when slight of hand is necessary. Sometimes he still catches it. He continues beaming at me, jabbering in this monkey language that I have yet to figure out. "Young Marcos, you must be careful. You are special and must not allow yourself to be harmed."
At that point he angrily started scolding me in his unintelligible language and wagging his finger. I take it he did not appreciate my correction.
"Want a penny? Found it today." At that point he stops scrunching his face.. Curiosity kills the cat rue enough. However, it also calms the anger. "It's an extra lucky penny today!" Then he eagerly started to jump up and down again in which I ave him the penny. At that point I bid him adieu, got up, and walked away.. Gotta love the innocence of children.
